The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) have set a new standard for how companies use and protect EU citizens’ data. It will take effect from May 2018.

At Albert we have been working hard to fulfil our obligations and to maintain our full transparency about how we use data.

To that effect, here's a little information on what we have done:

Firstly, what’s GDPR?

The EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) is a new comprehensive data protection law that comes into effect on May 25, 2018. It will replace existing EU Data Protection law to strengthen the protection of “personal data” and the rights of the individual. It will be a single set of rules which govern the processing and monitoring of EU data.

Secondly, what we've done to prepare for GDPR:

  • We've updated our Privacy Policy, Terms of Use and added our Data Processing Supplement.
  • We've reviewed our service partners, finding out about their GDPR plans and ensuring GDPR-readiness from them.
  • Strong data protection policies are a key part of GDPR's requirements. Our updated policies share our commitments and set out the terms for Albert and it's employees to meet GDPR requirements.

Albert is committed to giving you the simplest and easiest service possible, whilst protecting your data privacy in the best way. You entrust us with sensitive financial information, and we take that responsibility seriously.

All the best,

The Albert team.
